The Village of Menomonee Falls is located in the northeastern corner of Waukesha County and is northwest of Milwaukee. Menomonee Falls had a population of 35,626 as of the 2010 census.

The Menomonee Falls area is home to tons of recreational opportunities for everyone to enjoy. There are three golf courses around the area that offer great experiences that will have you coming back for more. The Silver Spring Golf Club has 36-holes of golf that will create a memorable experience for anyone who plays a round. The Island Course plays 6,912 yards from the blues and features the only natural island green in the state of Wisconsin. The Falls Course is a shorter course at only 5,582 yards and provides a nice break from the longer courses that have become so common today. The Dretzka Park Golf Course is another great course around the Menomonee Falls area. This 18-hole, par 72 course plays 6,809 yards from the tips and requires good aim as water runs through 12 of the 18 holes on this course. Both of these courses are a great experience for anyone who likes to golf.

Menomonee Falls also has a lot more to do besides just golf. Menomonee Park is home to the beautiful Trout Lake, a swimming hot spot in the summer months. Trout Lake has become so popular because it has fairly clear water and also has raised cliffs around the area so that swimmers can jump off into the lake. There’s also a fishing pier, playground, and campsite for visitors to enjoy. For the avid hiker who likes to get out and explore, try walking along the Bugline Trail. This trail begins in Merton and runs through Sussex to finally end at Menomonee Park. The trail runs 16 miles long and is a great challenge for those willing to walk it all the way through.

There are also many different events that visitors and residents can take part in throughout the year. Concerts at the Beer Garden happens every Thursday and Friday from mid-June to the end of August. Patrons are treated to live music, food, and a selection of beers. It’s a great way to unwind and spend a night out on the town. In December, experience the Christmas Parade in downtown Menomonee Falls. The parade is a great experience for people of all ages and helps to get the village in the holiday spirit. The village’s Farmers Market is every Wednesday from May-October at the Main St. Middle School parking lot. Here you can buy tons of local produce, crafts, and all other sorts of goods. The market is a win-win as you can get great food while supporting local businesses.
