The City of Delavan is located in the southwest portion of Walworth County. As of the 2010 census, Delavan had a population of 8,463.
There’s always something to do when you’re in Delavan. Every year on the 4th of July, the city hold their annual “Let Freedom Ring” celebration. The day begins with a pancake breakfast at the Fire Department. The event only costs a donation that goes directly to the department. The city also has a wide range of things to do that are not events. Golfers can choose between two courses in Delavan, the Delbrook Golf Course or the Majestic Oaks at Lake Lawn Resort. Anglers can fish on either Delavan Lake or Lake Comus for a chance at some big game fish like Pike or Bass. In the snowy months, take the kids to the Rudy Lange Sledding Hill for some winter wonderland fun! The hill has lights on throughout winter, so the fun doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down.
